We are considering getting Freesat at home (want better reception, some of the free channels but don't want full Sky, can't get Freeview as the coverage doesn't get us), Freesat is basically Freeview through a minidish and settop box for a one-off charge rather than a subscription.
The question is - how could we pipe that around the house to different tv's so each is independent (i.e. changing the channel doesn't affect the other tv's) - do we need to get a set-top box for each tv? To do that, you need a tuner for each TV set. In your case, I would guess that a box for each TV would be the simplest way to go.
I haven't researched it much, but I think the only boxes with two tuners are Sky+ equivalent, where one tuner is used for recording and one for playback. I don't think there's one that allows two different outputs. Could easily be wrong though. -------------------- |
