"The Wild Geese are pleased to announce we are now taking bookings for Flashpoint 2006.

The game will be played on Sunday 12th March 2006 at Holmbush Paintball site,Sussex.
Fee for the game is £40,which includes all gas fills and tea/coffee.This is a BYO event, but the Holmbush guys will have plenty of paint at reasonable prices available on the day.

Booking forms are available ONLY from flashpoint_2006@yahoo.co.uk , so please don't PM me on here.Trader pitches are available however please speak to Holmbush directly about these.

The 2006 game will be played as a big game, with play running non-stop all day. However teams will still have to complete various mission given to them throughout the day.Medics will be making a return to the game, with some new and improved rules.

Hope to see you all there.

THis is fun game, a little different from your average big game. BYO paint !

Ooh, Holmbush - I haven't played there in a few years!

Do they still have the crater field and the field on the side of the hill?
The best thing about this site (for those that haven't been) was that there was thick undergrowth and you could crawl from one end to the other and not get seen! (Peanut did that and almost ended up on a different field without firing a ball all game! )

I think the Ringers played there a few years ago as well.

Has anyone been there recently?

Right, I'm gonna try (probably in vain) to stir some interest up for this one. I know we are all very busy people but you have THREE MONTHS notice! Book holiday now! whatsthat.gif

It would be good to get all the Ringers out for this one, especially as its so close. The wild geese have an excellent reputation for putting on these events and the site at holmbush is perfect for a scenario game.

Possibly a buisness opportunity for XPB and Slothball also............ wink.gif cool.gif

SUNDAY 12th MARCH 2006. HOLMBUSH PAINTBALL SITE, SUSSEX

Democracy is finally coming to Giborovia...The U.N. has stepped in to put and end to the constant fighting, feeling it imperative to stabalise the region for European security. They are now sponsoring the first open elections for 35 years. As the election draws close the various parties are manouvering for position and trying to swing the election in their favour.Their ìParty Workersî are on the streets to persuade the general population of the correct use of their votes. The two main parties are well out in front in the polls, having far more resources at their disposal. However other forces are at work behind the scenes trying to swing the elections to their own ends. The Russian Mafia is heavily involved in ìinfluencingî votes, paying for certain candidatesí campaigns and generally trying to ensure that whoever wins power, will not interfere with their smuggling operations. The U.N. is also working to try and make the elections as fair and open as possible. They have placed troops on the streets in an attempt to keep the population safe and free from intimidation.

Players will be split between three teams. The two largest being The RED Party and the BLUE Party. These are same as for previous Flashpointís, so if you played for the Rebels before and wish to remain with that team, you would play for the RED Party this time.A smaller team will also be on the field, playing the Russian Mafia. U.N. forces will make several appearances throughout the day, played by guest players and members of the Wild Geese.

The game itself will follow the tried and tested format of teams completing missions and tasks. However this year we will be playing constantly through the day, there will be no break between missions. Teams will therefore need to organise themselves efficiently to complete the tasks. Missions and Tasks will be handed out to teams at any point throughout the day, you will start the game with a list of objectives but as the game progresses new tasks will be given. These will be handed to anyone in the team, so you will need to communicate with your fellow players efficiently.

I have just got the booking forms for this event so if anyone wants to join myself and Myles on the single form the more the merrier, i will prob start collecting wonger in the new year biggrin.gif

Tango - are you in charge of the Ringer team? In which case - stick me down for it, I've got the weekend off work!

Do we all just turn up on the Sunday early, or is there going to be a 'Saturday night thingy'?

I may be being very dim as usual but when in march is this little adventure as this very old and slow git just might try to be the disadvantage that some team didn't need as long as I'm not in the alps [ where most of you would prefer me to stay --------] some dates please. blink.gif

This event also clashes with my intended trip to Barbados, creating the following dilemma. Do I spend two weeks in the Caribbean or a weekend in Holmbush with the Wild Geese? Hmmm....
